NEW BMW 3 SERIES

      The New York Motor Show is not only a show for American cars, but also a show room for the upcoming cars for thr rest to the world. This year, at Jacob Javits centre, the show catcher for for the people from India was a Beamer, the New BMW 3 Series. The extremely sportry designed sedan with unlimited luxury is now in India too.

DESIGN / Interior:

     The high light of the new 3 Series is the extreme sportiness. More size, more space, more luxury and more comfort can be called as the design elements. The head lamps are re-designed. This is for the first time the head lamps are extending over the kidneys in a BMW. The LED eye brow foer the bi xenon head lamps helps in increasing the road presence of the sedan. There is not much change in the kidney grille. But the air dams are re designed with sporty chromium inserts. The overall length and wheel base of the sedan have increased. The design of the side profile is some what similar to the older model but with new sporty cuts and u=hues. This give the vehicle an M look. The rear part is re- designed. Now it is similar to the new 5 Series with typical BMW L shaped tail lights and single exhaust pipe.

Exterior:

       One major complaint about the old BMW 3 Series was that the car was not long enough for a luxury sedan. But now, the New BMW 3 Series is almost equal to a 5 Series in length. length has increased by 93 mm, wheel base by 50 mm and a reasonable increase in leg room and head room and an increase of 20 L (Now 480 L) in dickey space. This entry level BMW has now become a perfect drivers car. All controls are available ant a reachable distance for the driver. The I - Drive has become more user friendly. The dual tone interiors are much above the class. Seats are larger and supportive. Almost all controls are embedded on the  steering wheel itself. The nwe luxury features include a wind screen head up display for te driver, BMW professional radio, Navigation system, rear camera and a sporty paddle shift.
