NVIDIA the leading graphics card
producer added two new GPU's to their portfolio. GeForce GTX 660 and GeForce
GTX 650 as their name suggests they are placed in between the existing Geforce GTX 660 Ti and GeForce GT 640
Both the newly introduced GPU’s are based on the kepler architecture. With this launch the hole in the kepler lineup in the mainstream desktop gpus have been addressed by nvidia. Both these chips are based on the 28 nanometer manufacturing process
Till now kepler family consisted
of only two chips, GK 104 on the premium models like GeForce 680 GTX, GeForce 660
Ti and GK 107 on the budget models like GeForce 640 GT.With GeForce GTX 660 nvidia introduced a new chip
to the family GK 106.GeForce GTX 650 sports a GK 107 core.GTX 660 is available
in 2 Gb variant while GTX 650 is available both as 1 Gb and 2 Gb versions. As all the keplers both of these chips are PCI 3.0 capable
