The urban global brand Smart is approaching the stars... With the small size hatch, the company is aiming the families in the cities of the world. The electrically driven FORSTAR concept is branded as an SUC (Sports Utility Coupe). It provides space for two and a lot of luggage. The concept will be premiered at the 2012 Paris motor show (From 29 th sept - 14 th oct)
DESIGN / Exterior:
Sexy with small over-hangs!!
The vehicle is of size 3550 mm X 1710 mm X 1505 mm. The rhombus shaped head and rear lamps is worth mentioning. The outer ring of the head lamps act as indicators and day time running lights. The body colored lining over the head lamps gives it a U shape. There is no separate grille but the body itself is developed into a mesh grille. Round SMART logo is integrated at its middle. Separated black air intakes on the bumper and air scoop on the bonnet are unique. A red transparent sun visor, above the wind screen enhances the road presence of the car. All the four wheels are placed at the four corners of the body - A typical SMART design. The cuts and hues at the front make it really 3 dimensional.
The double color side panel is yet another wonder. The front panel ends at the door and a second panel starts from the door and extend up to the tail lamps. The B-pillar is smartly curved from this panel. There is an array of air intakes near the door. A quarter glass is there beyond the B-pillar, which seems to be an extension of the roof. At the rear, there is yet another visor with LED illumination.
A smart combination of Perl white, red and brushed aluminium, which is similar to a wonder land. The dials are projected, separated and illuminated. The dash board provides a fair storage space. The bi - spoke steering wheel is separated and is almost squarish. The gear liver and switches are also double colored and illuminated with a circular theme. The seats are sexy and supportive with integrated head rests and a honey comb like bi-color design. Ample leg room is another highlight. Thanks to the extended wheel base.
