Renault India has announced that they will be launching 4 new models this year.Now they have introduced the mid range sedan, the Scala.The premium sedan is based on Nissan Sunny but holds a much elegant and incredible design.
DESIGN / Exterior:
While re-badging a car, there is a possibility to have much similar features.But for Scala, Renault has redesigned both the interiors and exteriors. The major changes is at the front with a thoroughly redesigned bumper and grille which give the car an up market feel. The chrome plated small grille is entirely different from Sunny with the big Renault emblem merging on to the bonnet.The air dams are also integrated on the dual tone grille with fog lamps lining it. The head lamps are given smoke finish. The side panels are much similar to Sunny. But the rear part is actually the style hub.Very minor changes has given the car really a premium look. The white lining on the tail lamp, Bangle Butt 5th door and chrome lining over the rear number plate are the design elements.The sedan is 4425 mm long, 1695 mm wide and 1505 mm tall.
Interior:
The interiors are much similar to Sunny, but with a lot of added features. Automatic climate control, rear adjustable AC vents, Leather wrapped power steering with controls mounted on it, extremely comfortable seating arrangement with ample leg room... are a few. The car is well packed with safety features like ABS with EBD, dual front air bags, Speed sensing automatic door locks, engine immobilizer and anti theft alarm.
