The Volkswagen small family car GOLF, manufactured by VW since 1974 is now at the 7th generation with over 29 million satisfied customers.It replaces the previous model with more space, more mileage by a reduction of weight of 100 Kg. The car is 4255 mm long, 56mm longer than its predecessor, with a wheel base of 2637mm. Width is 1799 mm and height is 1452mm.
DESIGN / Exterior:
The clear lens head lamps with a black shade and halogen bulbs has got the indicators incorporated in it with the day time running lights. The simple, elegant VW family grille starts from the head lamps with the big VW emblam at the middle.The bhumber portion is also re designed with honey comb mesh + fog lamp attachment. A thick sholder line from the front door and ending at the rear door adds to the sportiness of the side panel.At the rear, the tail lamps are re designed with LED strips (Similar to Passat and Jetta). 4 alloy wheel design options are also available.
Interior:
The cockpit and centre console are now more angled towards the driver which gives a more easier access to the controls, which include a new gen infotainment touch screen system. The front and rear leg rooms are increased and the seats have become more supportive with a sporty stearing wheel, making any driver to do stunts!!
For the first time in VW, the center arm rest include a phone holder with an adaptive aerial, which gives better signal strength and reduces battery drain. Adaptive Cruise Control, City Emergency Breaking, Driver Alert System, Dynamic Light Assist System... are some newly added features.
