Peugeot is always sexy.. The 301 is an extreme case. It makes car lovers go crazy!! The good news is: After the bad experiences from Indian market and partners, Peugeot is coming back to India. Last Delhi Auto Expo was the stage for the great coming back of the French auto giant.

The Peugeot people announced that they will be setting a production plant in India and before that, they will be importing some models, (The 508) as a CBU and will be selling it in Indian market through own dealers. Now the company is all set to start their first production plant in Sadanand in Gujarat and the first model to be produced there is the PEUGEOT 301.

The vehicle is all set to up root Indian sedan concepts and will be available on roads with in two years.

DESIGN:
The high light is the extremely stylish design. the grille and bonnet is the beauty elements. The number plate is also integrated on the big grille with two chromium beedings and the Peugeot name pad. The small air dams below the grille is bounded by fog lamps. The head lamp cluster is curved rectangular in shape with bi xenon dooms. The side profile is simple and elegant with a thick sholder line. it merge over to the rectahgular tail lamps. The dickey door is simple with the Peugeot logo at the middle and a long hue. The vehicle is 4.4 meter long. But if the company reduce the length below 4 meter, then they can tag the vehicle around 5 lakhs. The wheel base is 2650 mm and dickey storage is 506 liters.

The interior is some thing that we have never seen in an Indian car. The dual tone steering lacks control switches, but the cock pit is so ergonomically built. All controls, including the power full AC are at reachable distance. The interior is perfectly black with small aluminium inserts. Seats are large and supportive with enough leg and head room. ABS and air bags are standard features.

ENGINE:
Every auto lover loves the old TUD 5 engine. It was a bench mark for many Indian companies about how to make a diesel engine. The 301 is expected to hold Peugeot's 1.2 L, 3 Cyl, petrol VTi engine with 70 Breaking Horse Powers. Another engine option that can be expected is 1.6 L, 4 cyl, HDi engine, which is of 90 BHP and also offering a mileage of 30 liters.
